A muted yet glowy project tote in deep green with accents of turquoise. This maker’s project bag was made in limited quantity especially for A Woolen Affair in October 2026. This is one of the last of our batch of project tote bags.
Combining my handwoven fabric with waxed canvas and leather handles, it is both beautiful and functional. The outside features a zip pocket and slip pocket. The interior is lined with natural linen and includes another generous pocket. Top cinch section keeps everything secure. Side rings to clip on the optional crossbody strap. Completely one of a kind and fully infused with the spirit of handmade.
The woven fabric is the result of experiments on a colorful turned twill warp. At the loom, I chose a palette of colors and wove intuitively, letting the proportions reveal themselves as the weaving progressed. Colors include green, royal, forest green and turquoise. It is woven in turned twill, a structure where alternating warp-dominant and weft-dominant blocks create patterns - colors appear to overlap each other in the cloth.
Made in collaboration with Handmade by Kacie, who brought her eye for design, meticulous sewing skills and bag-making expertise to the project.
Add a dark brown crossbody strap below to complete the look.
