Red Ikat Project Pouch
This pouch is part of an annual series made with special lengths of handwoven fabric. The design features an indigo ikat warp, woven with red, linen and even a few stripes of yellow. The white dashes in the fabric are places where I wrapped the warp threads with resists before dyeing it with indigo.
This is a sturdy structured bag that stands up on its own. Measures 12 inches across the top, 7 inches tall, and 8 by 4 inches at the base.
Excellent as a maker’s project bag, for travel toiletries, and lovely as an evening clutch.
Cotton and linen exterior. Lined with linen, with three interior pockets.
