Egg Shades in Cream
This towel is from the egg shades series, inspired by the eggs laid by my flock of backyard chickens. They produce a lovely array of eggshell shades, from tawny to pinkish brown, plus green and blues. The weave features a dense twill that switches diagonal direction with each stripe, a nod to the structure of feathers.
The body of this towel is woven in solid cream cotton, allowing the vertical stripes to take center stage. The handwoven hangtab at one end is designed to match.
Coordinates nicely with any of the towels in the Egg Shades series.
